Hi,

Currently starting to investigate how to migrate my Desktop Central setup to a new server and I've been reading through the guides here :

What I can't seem to get my head round though is it references a couple of times that you don't need to download an exe and install it, just copy the folder over? What I don't quite understand is, how does this work in regards to having the system tray icons, start menu items and anything that's required as part of a normal install process??

Does the migration batch trigger all this or is it somehow irrelevant?

I was assuming I'd install new copy on the new server and then follow the steps of copying the folder over and somehow then migrating the clients, but according to both of these i don't even install an instance of DC?? 

Am I missing something here?
