Send feedback to Endpoint Central from script in Custom Configuration

I have a custom script that I want to configure to run on every startup to ensure that a piece of software is installed or configured correctly on Mac machines.  This is necessary because it is a security software that can be disabled on OS upgrades.  So when the OS upgrades, it needs to be re-enabled some times.  Then the software may also need installation and upgrading at times on new computers, etc.

So, what I would like to be able to do, is through the agent, when the script is run by the agent, have it send a status message back from the script to Endpoint Central so I can track what machines have the software correctly installed or not as well as the last time the script ran successfully, if at all.

My current work around is to use the run once option w/ logging enabled on the configuration and periodically go in and restart the the configuration.

What I would like to be able to do is have the script scheduled to run on every startup, however, and either capture the last log or somehow use a command from the agent to flag a status and generate a report in Endpoint Central that can then email me the results.

Other than the run once w/ logging enabled option, is there any functionality currently or planned that could provide what I need?
