Self-Service Portal "Submit Request" Widget

Self-Service Portal "Submit Request" Widget

Good Afternoon,

I noticed that the behavior of the default "Report an Incident" widget caused it to change between going to my default incident template and the service catalog based on whether or not I had anything enabled in the service catalog.  I wanted it to always go to my default incident template, and only allow the requester to pick a template by using the "Request Catalog" drop down in the top left of the header.  In order to achieve this, I created an html file with the same icon and a link to go to ./WorkOrder.do in ServiceDesk and pointed the widget at it, and after I did some formatting it looked good.  Then, I tested the link and found that it goes to the default incident template as expected, but it does it INSIDE of the widget, rather than changing the page of the user to the WorkOrder.do page entirely.  This actually wouldn't be terrible if I had a way of hiding the header so it didn't look super clunky.

Can you please advise a way to force the default "Report an Incident" widget to always go to my default incident template, even when other templates are enabled, or advise how to make links in a widget redirect the entire page instead of just the inside of the widget, or open the WorkOrder.do page without a header?  Any of those three options should solve my issue.

Thank You,

James Leitz
