Self service portal (Desktop Central integration with Service Desk plus)

Hi

We use both desktop central and service desk plus. Wit the new feature win DC called self service for installing applications - we were excited. We assumed that as an end user you would be able to go to your service desk plus self service page (where you can log tickets) and avail of the desktop central self service capability for installing software - this appears though not to be the case.

Am i correct in assuming that the integration between DC and Service desk plus is not available?
