Secure your browsers from the Cloud9 browser botnet malicious extension.

Hello Browser Security Plus users,

As reported by Bleeping Computer, the Cloud9 browser botnet is discovered to thieve sensitive data from your browsers by using malicious extensions. These malicious extensions can get entire access to your browser remotely by infecting them. This act is identified as Remote Access Trojan (RAT) infecting both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The malicious Cloud9 extension consists of three JavaScript files that can gather system information, leverage host resources to mine cryptocurrency, perform DDoS attacks, and inject code to run browser exploits.

Browser Security Plus comes to the rescue. You can prevent this threatening browser-based attack by whitelisting only the required extensions across your network. Follow these three facile steps:

1.Login to your Browser Security Plus console.

2.Navigate to policies ->Add-on Management.

3.Allowlist the extensions based on user requirement.
