secure imap or pop for incoming connections?

We are just getting our SD+ setup up and running, and we've discovered that SD+ doesn't appear to do imaps or pops. We really have no desire to setup non-secure connections. Is there an add-on or plugin for SD+ that will allow this? Or maybe I'm missing the setting all together?
