I want to build a custom function that searches requests by a certain data point, such as the subject. The REST API documentation shows how to query a request by entering the request ID in the api path:

url = "https://xxxxxxxxxx.com/api/v3/requests/{request_id}";

However, my question is: what if I don't know the request ID, and I want to search for a specific request by another criteria, such as the request subject?

We have automated tickets that come in every day and I am trying to build a custom function that detects these tickets specifically and close them automatically, otherwise notify the service desk that they didn't come in that particular day.

Any ideas on this?
