SDP: Make server ignore replies to request notifications from CC'd users?

I'm not sure if I phrased the title right or not, but this is a somewhat annoying thing that happens to us frequently and I'm not sure if ServiceDeskPlus has a way to deal with it or not.

This is the scenario:

Steve puts in a help desk request via email, CC'ing his coworkers Tim and Jeff:

From: Steve
To: HelpDesk
CC: Tim, Jeff

Dear IT,

The copier just exploded!

Thanks,

Steve

Tim and Jeff will both get an email notifying them that the request was created, and they will then either Reply All to that or to Steve's original email:

From: Tim
To: Steve
CC: HelpDesk, Jeff

It sure did!!

Tim

Now we have two requests for the same issue. This is just a simple example, but when this happens to us it is generally a huge conversation that is started by the original requester that we have to merge/delete a bunch of requests for. We tried at one point just adding "Re:" to our spam filter in SDP, but then we got complaints that requests weren't going in when users would reply to someone about an IT related issue while CC'ing the help desk.

Is there anything we could do to deal with something like this, like by comparing email titles or ignoring replies to notifications? Other than an email etiquette boot-camp for our users of course.
