SD+ Network Setup - HELP Please

I am trialing ServiceDesk Plus on our office network but am having troubles getting any pcs to see it over the network.

The program will work on the XP machine it is installed on, but I can not get any other PCs to access this via the web.

We are running a Novell Network 4.91x at one of our sites which we will be eventually upgrading to a windows/ exchange network, but for the time being this is the last site on novell =- but the site where IT is based.

I Initially installed ServiceDesk plus on a windows XP machine, (more than enough free space/ ram/ etc) but could not get another computer to see SD+. I thought this may be due to the fact I have an XAMPP install on the system. I reinstalled SD+ on another machine - once again - XP Pro plenty of room. ram etc.. brand new system no other software installed. Still no joy.

I am not sure if I have missed any crucial steps in setting up the system. Do I require any other software to allow SD+ to act like an intranet server.

We also have a proxy server which I am wondering if that is causing problems. I have allowed access to the computers name etc through proxy access, as well as the IP but no joy.

I can ping the initial computer with the install on it (one with XAMPP on it) via its computer name but cannot browse to http://pcname:8080

Could it be that the proxy server (on port 8080) is causing problems? I have tried changing port numbers with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
