Hi, does anyone know how to script duplicating a ticket?

Right now, I'm just using Python to read all the ticket details to a list of variables and creating a new ticket with those variables, but it's very cumbersome when I need to update anything.

Surely there must be an easier way to duplicate a ticket and retain all of its template information.
