Schedule a reboot of the Desktop Central Server
Hello,
i need the schedule a reboot of our Desktop Desktop central Server (which is also our Service-Desk server).
It's a 2012R2 server and i think i'm going to simply make a restart.bat with the command 'shutdown -r -f -t 000'...
But,before intitiating the reboot of the windows, i know that the Desktop-Central Server must be properly shutdown to avoid any Database corruption.
I see some bat script in the bin directory of Desktop Central like: 'stopDesktopCentral.bat' or 'stopDB.bat' or 'shutdown.bat'.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My question is:
1. which script to use to properly shutdown Desktop Central Server (services, DB,...)before i can reboot the server?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think i will make a single bat (or VBscript) in which i will copy-paste the commands coming from the Desktop Central bat,
then an if for testing if the Desktop Central is shutdown and if yes, my command to shutdown the server.
And i will call the script in a scheduled task
thanks in advance for your help,
P.A
