Scalable maps
Hello!
I am trying to plan out a network map layout that will allow drill downs to that would be easy to read when displayed on our NOC wall. We have WAN links all over the country and many will be in the same state so the icons are way to big. I have started making 10x10 pixel dot icons to place on the USA map to represent locations in different states but this may also get crowded.
My problem is that I need to display the entire map but also be able to drill down to the state level and even city level (later on down the road). I can add icons for the WAN links on the USA map and I am playing with the idea of being able to click on a state to drill down. How hard would this be? I thought about taking the original USA map and cutting the states apart and using them as icons like a big jigsaw puzzle. Is there an easier way
