I am preparing to update the Cat, Sub cat and item fields within my ME installation in order to have a completely new set of data.

My most pressing concern is whether the changes that I make to ME will overwrite the old data.

Secondly is it possible to perform such a task using an import (e.g. from a CSV) and if so do you have any resources on how to accomplish this?
