It appears that in order to remove a device from active inventory (as well as to release it's associated license) it has to be deleted from SoM, which removed it from records all together.

Is there a way that a system can be retired in a manner which allows it's records to be referenced at some point in the future were there a need, while not displaying in active inventory?
