Restricting Access
I've already posted this once but it's disappeared! - Anyway I copied the text so I'll try again!
I work in a medium sized educational establishment in the UK and, after trialing SD+ with our IT Teachers and staff, decided to plumb for the full ITIL v7.
Everything seems to be working pretty well but I do have a couple of issues. I want to restrict access to SD+ to just the teaching / lecturing staff and prevent the students from logging requests.
Once I start SD+ it auto logs me in as I would expect (We have version 7004 using AD passthru and yes, ours seems to be working!) If I then use the 'logout' link to bring the login screen back up, i can log on as a student (which seems to create an account automatically) and log requests.
I have only imported AD users from the relevant OU's
AD passtrhu does seem to work ok
I have email fetching turned off (in an attempt to prevent account created via email)
Secondly, no matter what I do there us one user who, when starting SD+ causes it to crash (I get the usual 'page cannot be displayed' chestnut!) I've tried this user on different computers, checked all of the relevant perms, even deleted and recreated it but still no access. After an attempt at launching SD+ I then have to deleted the MySQL process running on the server and re-start SD+
