Restart Windows Service question
All,
I have a windows service that stops a few times a week. I see that App Manager can restart the service when it goes down. I tested this and it took quite awhile for the service to restart. After investigation, I'm assuming the action was not taken immediately because my global consective polls count is set to 2 for taking actions and my polling monitor is 5 minutes. So, it took about 15 minues for it to report down and restart. Now, I like the global polling to be left at 2 since I don't want tons of emails for other monitors in place, but, is there a way to tell the 'restart the service' to occur immediatly? I don't even see 'restart the service' under 'view actions'. I only see it as an available action when I add the windows service.
