Responding to user via ticket is very slow

Responding to user via ticket is very slow

Good Afternoon

When responding to a user through SD and I click on send, it will freeze the window up and hang there for several seconds before it finally goes away.

I have tried to do some searching and only found that it is possibly a shadow issue on the exchange server?

Is there anything with SD that can help with this issue and speed it up again? It was working fine until about a week ago.
