Report on workstation by installed software?
For the life of me I can't find a way to do this, or a workaround to cheat it.
Basically, installing 7.5 and finally getting the workstation scanning (mostly) working has hilighted a few issues, the immediate one being our antivirus situation: some machines still have Symantec, some AVG 7.5, and most have AVG 8.5 which is our standard. I'd like to get a list of those that don't have 8.5. The trouble is that there doesn't seem to be any link in the reporting system between workstations and software.
I thought I could use groups, setting up a dynamic group to cover those workstations that don't have 8.5, but it's not an option.
I thought I might be able to create a static group, as I can get a list of workstations using 7.5 from the software pages, but despite the list having tickboxes there don't seem to be any functions available to perform on those that are ticked.
I've found the Query Report option, which looks to be a hell of a lot easier than pulling the information out of the backend with Crystal Reports, but that's going to be a lot of work. Not that I'm afraid of work, but it really seems there should be an easier way to do this.
