Report Creation

I would like to know on how to create tabular reports that has a graph, showing how many request are solved on the same day it was created.
Basically our management need is to see how many we can resolved request on daily basis.
I was able to create one but the problem is that there are request that was put on hold for like two days and then the technicians resolved it, making the count inaccurate.
Our database is MSSQL
Version 9019
