Our company has about 400 remote users not on our domain with approximately 100 users at the corporate office and connected to the domain. We are cloud based for just about everything hence our interest in Manage Engine and password changes. Unfortunately we were led to believe we would not need a VPN connection to change ones password and the system (Manage Engine) would update the cache including passwords on local devices.
We accepted the VPN process using Cisco AnyConnect and have found it to be hit or miss. The VPN client starts up properly but doesn’t shutdown/disconnect the VPN connection afterwards which then forces users to pass through the VPN connection for internet connectivity until they reboot. We find this unacceptable. Are there any other users doing something similar with Cisco VPN or something totally different as we are running out of ideas?
Note I stated above it is hit or miss. Sometimes the cache is updated but only about 50 percent of the time thus confusing users as to what password to use when unlocking their devices. I would love to chat as we are running out of patience and ideas.
