Regarding alert disabling

I am from Infosys Technologies on behalf of Pfizer application support team. We have bought the AppManger recently. Yesterday I've upgrade to 7.1 also. We were using another mercury tool (sitescope prev) and are in a process of migrating everything into AppManager. Expecting your esteemed support and assistance going fwd.. Thanking u first of all..
I am trying to study this hot tool and need to be an expert at the very earliest as I am leading the team. M having some queries now. -
As we do application support (ASD), we have monitors of applications and their health. We will be having many scheduled & unsceduled outages/downtime. I would like to know how can we disable the alerts for a shr time period. In our prev tool, it was very easy adn cuold do in seconds. here I found its quite tedious to switch off the alerts as we need to remove the threshold for the same. Also after the outage we need to go ahead and set prper threshold again.. Is there any other way for the same. Say for ex, I want to disable a particular monitor / monitor group for next 1 hour as Iam doing some deployments. Or I want to disable it tomorrow 10 - 11 AM. Or if I want to disable the monior itself for some time period. How can I do that?
