Red Hat Linux Patching Alert: Update Nomination Settings Before July 7, 2025

Hello everyone!

Starting July 7, 2025, Red Hat will no longer allow logins using an email address. If your Red Hat nomination currently uses an email ID instead of a username, this change could affect patch deployment and related automation workflows.

Impact on our product  below the version 11.3.2440.1:

Customers who’ve configured Red Hat Linux settings with an email-based nomination may experience slight disruptions in patch management tasks, such as patch downloads or syncing repositories.

What should you do?

  • If your audit schedule isn’t close or you have a maintenance window, consider upgrading the server to the latest version where we’ve simplified the Red Hat patch management — check out the detailed guide here.

  • If that’s not feasible, simply update your Red Hat nomination by replacing the email ID with your Red Hat username to ensure patching continues without interruption.

Kindly contact our support team ( support@endpointcentral.com ) if you need help updating your settings.

Cheers !
