Question on notifications
I have two systems, A and B, that run a service, SERVICE, that is identical. The way the configuration is set up SERVICE can only run on one system. i.e. if A is running SERVICE, B cannot run it and vice versa. Throughout the day the development moves the from one server to the other. As long as the service is up we are operational. But if the service is not up on any system, we are down. Is there a way to set up a notification that will poll both systems and send out an alert whenever SERVICE is not running on both A and B? I can set it up so it notifies us when the service isn't running but this doesn't neccessarily mean we are down since the service is running on the other server.
