Public Profile Lockdown

Public Profile Lockdown

Hey everyone,

I am trying to replace Windows Steady State with a combination of profile configurations using Desktop Central, so that the hard drive is not locked down and can take updates in admin mode without the additional steps of unlocking and locking steady state.  Has anyone tried this?  I am able to lock a majority of the functions on a public access computer account (PAC) and even moved the pagefile to a virtual hard drive but I can't think of what to do to restore the c drive to pre-patron access state.  Any suggestions?

I work at a public library so we have LOTS of computers to test a variety of solutions on . . . just trying to find the best one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  Deepfreeze is too expensive, I'm thinking maybe someone has done this out there?

Thanks for the help....
