I'm running Build 80035 of Desktop Central.

 

Inventory, Configure Prohibited Software,

I have from the DTC-provided list selected all of software like:

Microsoft .NET Framework

 

So. DTC gleefully uninstalls .NET Framework 4 Client Profile

and a little while later, Microsoft reinstalls it.

Then, DTC uninstalls it.

and so it goes.

 

In Windows 7 (the wuauclt) I right-click the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and choose, Hide Update, and provide my domain administrator credentials.

 

I did have WSUS running, but I have un-installed it since I bought DTC.

My Group Policy still points to the now-un-installed WSUS server.

(That is, my PCs still think that server is there, but there is nothing serving up patches.)
