Prohibited Software client/server disagree
Build No : 70127
I install
[sampleApp] on client. At server, I add
[sampleApp] to prohibited list. I reboot the client. I rescan and run a prohibited software report, which finds
[sampleApp] on client. On client from DC tray icon, I run "View Prohibited Software Details". I get "No Prohibited software detected in your machine." I verify that
[sampleApp] is still installed on client.
I have manually uninstalled
[sampleApp] (exe software not defined in DC Software Repository), rebooted, and reinstalled, but get the same message.
In Inventory > Configure Prohibited Software > Auto-Uninstall Policy, I have enabled Automatic Uninstallation (number of software to uninstall... 5), enabled User Notification Settings (number of days... tried both 1 and 0), and entered a notification message.
I expected to see this user notification on the client at install and/or reboot, but suspect it isn't displaying as the client doesn't realize there is prohibited software installed.
How should I proceed? Also, in order to auto-uninstall, do I have to add/define said prohibited software in the DC Software Repository?
Thank you,
-Aaron
