Hi Support, hope your all well,

I agree with BBTech think I have mentioned this to you guys in passing before.

There isn't much point having a Account having products applied to it with warranty expiry dates if we can give continued support after the expiry date without knowing it.

Think that as mentioned an alert on the top of the request page would be a real benefit

It would be good if when a request comes in for a customer who has a product that has expired if this was automatically put into a Expired group, and certain members of the support team (administrators) could be alerted to this and choose to move it from this from the queue into the main support arena once they are happy the warranty/support contract has been extended.

This option is obviously an inherited option from the Supportdesk system, where the warranty on a particular products warranty expiry date needed to be seen for internal use, it's use in SupportCenter needs to be changed, to read Support Expiry date, or the text for this should be customisable (if there is such a word!) and the alert option needs to be in place to ensure customers aren't getting support for free, a pretty critical part of the SupportCenter system I'm sure you'll agree!

Your thoughts on this please, it does need to be changed for a service pack release if possible as this, i'm sure you and others would agree, is a critical function of the support desk, and the thought that we could give our valuable time away for free makes my boss shudder.... I have had to make him another cup of tea!

Please stop me becoming a teaboy!!!

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich and bbtech,

We agree that this a vital feature of any Support( Tracking Service contracts/license expiry, notifying technicians before expiry). We have already included these features to our roadmap. Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi Support,

I'm not sure this has been implemented... and you have said that this is a vital inclusion.

Support Requests can still be logged on a Product after the warranty period has expired... not good....

Notifying the user or administrator that the warranty period (or support contact period would be preferable maybe) has expired is very important.

Can you give us an update on the status of this on your roadmap please?

Cheers

Rich
