Problems with CLI commands
Error message: "The Monitor did not respond to the test request "
I have tried to connect to the server using the exact same username and password and using Putty (from the same server that OpManager runs on). That works just fine but OpManager does not connect.
The server runs Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 4)
When I cut and paste the server command:
top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9]* states:'
using SSH directly to the server, I get:
root@mail11:~# top b n 1 | grep 'CPU[0-9]* states:'
CPU states: cpu user nice system irq softirq iowait idle
It seems to me that it's the grep command that is wrong.
I have also tried it on a Fedora Core 5 server and it doesn't work there either. On Fedora the output of the above command is nothing. Just blank.
Using the 'last' command I can see that the OpManager server have logged in.
