Hi all.
We are experiencing problems when trying to define permissions on the requests module, when configuring the Technical roles.
The role we try to define is that of a technician, who should be able to work on his requests and those assigned to any of the groups to which he belongs. A kind of technician only operative.
For our definition, the technician should be able to visualize, reply to the requester, generate tasks (if applicable), and finally resolve the request. But he should not be able to modify core fields such as Category, Sub Category, Item, DueByTime, etc.
We did some tests, but we can not make this work. If we mark the "Edit" option, in the general request permission, the technician can edit the central fields that were already mentioned.
When we uncheck the "Edit" permission, but select ANY of the advanced permissions, the "Edit" option is automatically marked, and then, the role grant permission to edit ALL the request:
In other options or modules, this doesn't work the same way. For example the inventory module allow to check advanced permission, without check automatically the "Edit" box in the general permission section. Or if the "Edit" box, checks automatically, we can uncheck it, and the advanced permission remains.
This is the correct behavior? In the Admin Manual, there is no information who brings light to this subject.
