problem associated with op manager connectivity

hi, i am currently using the 30 day trial version of op manager and have encountered a problem associated with the actual network connectivity. The device that i have imported has been successful however monitoring of the device will not be implemented 'cause an alarm is raised informing me that your network connectivity is lost and will not continue monitoring until connectivity is established.

note that connectivity to the net is working perfectly.
