Preventative maintenance tasks

We use the Preventative Maintenance tasks a lot. However it has limitations whioch I think can be improved upon as follows:
  1. Provide the ability to suspend a PM task for a period of time.
    • For example, our business closes down for 10 days over Christmas. We have several weekly PM tasks meaning that we get back to find we have a dozen or more PM tasks sitting in the queues with Escalation messages everywhere etc.
  2. Provide the ability to say "Start From" date for all schedules and not just the daily schedule.
    • I may be advised that we have a new product coming online in 3 months time. As part of the preparation for that product, I might want to set up a PM task starting from a known date after that product is due to go online. I want to do it now so that I can complete my part of the project.
  3. Provide the ability to set a default resolution for a PM task.
    • Many of the PM tasks we use need to ahve the same wording entered each time we execute them.
    • While we could create a resolution template for each one, it still means that we have to go find and select them each time.
    • Allowing the ability to set a default resolution will ensure the correct and desired resolution is entered each time
