Pre-Release : Default site - "Base Site" for ServiceDesk Plus Cloud
Dear Users,
We are working on the release of adding "Base Site" as default under the site configurations and below are brief details on this feature, functionality and behavior changes.
Site - Organizations may have several branches or sites, distributed across geographical locations. These sites maybe in the same region or in different regions. However, their data must be managed from a central location. Using ServiceDesk Plus Cloud, you can easily manage such geographically distributed data by configuring sites.
Base or default site of the organization is the primary site, regardless of the number of sites the organization has. In the application, the default site is used interchangeably with Not in any site. Therefore, to ensure consistency in usage - base site, default site, and Not in any site will henceforth be referred to as "Base Site" under Sites.
"Base Site" is the default site for all organizations and it can renamed according to an organization's specific requirement.
Organizations with no site configured - No, change or impact and you would not see or have any behavior changes.
Organizations with site configured, please read through the below for understanding on modifications, behavior changes and changes that could be required with respect to Custom Functions & FAFR.

For general Task, Worklog and Task Estimate Effort will be calculated based on Base Site or selected site. |
