pop3 smtp testing services
I know in the past network monitoring tools watch ports and send data and get a response. But i've had times where opmanager says SMTP or POP is up? but it isn't really working right.
I'm wondering what opmanager can do in this department? I need a tool that will actually test a pop3 user/mailbox, test and send a smtp message.
I know what's up gold does it but I hate their front end. We currently use opmanager 6 and we are looking for a solution that has these features. Anyone out there using opmanager 7? Does it have these features?
If opmanager can't do this, any sugestions?
