Pick lists have disappeared again

I have been adding some extra entries in one of our customised pick lists and now all entries in the two customised picklists have disappeared.
We need to get these back pretty urgently and as there are about 80 entries in one of them, we don't want to retype them if possible.
Also as one of these field has to be completed in order to close a job, we have a problem closing anything down.
