PC inventory issues

PC inventory issues

1. is there anyway to get DC to display networked printers that are installed on a PC. its seems to only display local printers.

2. While looking at the hardware inventory of a PC, specifically the "network adapters" portion I cam across a couple of issues.
A. If the client has DHCP enabled it correctly shows the IP address but under
"DHCPenabled" is has "Disabled". it is like this for everyone of my PC's.

B. If the client has a statically assigned IP address it does not display anything for
for IP address (on most of the PC's), it doesn't list anything, its blank.

C. On the "Summary" screen, under Network, it will also reflect if the IP address is
statically assigned or DHCP by not putting anything into the "IP Address" if
static and correctly inputting the IP if set to DHCP.

D. Another issue on the summary screen is in some instances it will correctly display the DNS server other times it will have 255.255.255.255 listed and still others will have nothing. The same thing can happen for the Gateway sometimes ---, nothing or 255.255.255.255. I have yet to see the correct gateway unless DHCP is enabled.

3. There are alot of " Unkown" labels out there for hardware. I dont really care about the keyboard but when it cant identify a 3com or Intel network card, it can cause a problem for inventory purposes.

sorry about the length I wanted to list each issue with any and all observations.

thanks.
