Patch scan was stopped due to binary signature mismatch

The following Remark is coming up during patch scanning: Patch scan was stopped due to binary signature mismatch. Please check proxy settings or contact support. 

Not all of our systems show this and complete patch scanning successfully. The systems that throw this error are across the LAN and WAN. Looking for insights into why this could be happening. Thank you.
