Patch Jobs Stuck in "Ready to Execute" Status

Software in Use:

  • Managed Engine MSP version: The issue occurs with the MSP version and affects all customers (with approx. 900 systems), though the severity varies from one customer to another.

Issue:
For about three weeks now, many of our patch jobs have not been functioning properly. They remain stuck in the "Ready to Execute" status for several days, even though the deployment policy is correctly configured and allows patching according to the rules.

Details:

  • Issue first observed and ticket opened: Around 3 weeks ago
  • Affected patch jobs: Multiple
  • Job status: "Ready to Execute"
  • Behavior: Patch jobs do not start, even though patching is allowed and policies are correctly set.

Impact:

  • Delays in the application of critical patches.
  • Potential security vulnerabilities due to unpatched systems.

Previous attempts to resolve the issue: All attempts to fix the issue so far have been unsuccessful.

We have an open support case (## 5415981 ##) related to this issue.

We need an urgent solution here so that patch management works reliably again.
Is there anyone who has similar behavior?
