What does the Delivery Status of "Already Mail Sent" mean in the reporting?

In some instances sending the message only once would be desirable, but in many cases people need multiple reminders. It would be a nice feature if the number of messages allowed to send from the initial first message would be useful. For example the expiration notification is set for 7 days. 7 days before expiration the first message is sent. The admin desires 4 messages be sent. By default the number of notifications cannot be greater than the number set to be notified before expiration. Also, by default one of those days should be reserved for notification the day before expiration. Any remaining days for notification should be mathematically distributed by dividing the days specified to expiration by the number of desired expiration notifications minus the single reserved day. I suggest rounding up for decimal values. Rounding up allows the notification to be closer to the actual day of expiration for the second to last notification. Thus, if I desired 4 messages to be sent it would be ceiling(7/(4-1)) = 2. Using this approach a message would be sent every 2 days. Messages in this example would be sent days before expiration: 7, 5, 3, 1. Another example desired to send 3 messages 7 days before expiration. ceililng(7/(3-1)) = 4. In this example notifications would be sent days before expiration: 7, 3, 1.
The message(s) should be able to include another created macro to notify how many more notifications they will receive.
