OSD Error : E00640022:Unsupported protocol - solution suggested

Hi Folks

Yet another popular error case.

Scenario

Imagine you have two computers, one has the required OSD Server components

OSD License Server,
OSD Server and
OSD Management Console.

The other computer has 'OSD Management Agent' installed. Now trying to connect the second computer for creating a new master image fails with the error

E00640022: Unsupported Protocol. Agent on the remote computer does not support creating/checking image protocols or it has a different version.

Here are the suggested solutions

Ensure that the user account under which you are trying to connect does not have a blank password.
Ensure 'ManageEngine Remote Agent' service is running on computer2.
Try disabling SSL encryption by renaming the Server subkey to Server1.

Windows 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ManageEngine\Encryption\Server
Windows 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageEngine\Encryption\Server
