Orphaned Requests

Orphaned Requests

When we delete a technician from ServiceDesk that had a request assigned to them it orphans the requests that belonged to them. The requests are no long showed as being assigned to a technician. Is this how it is supposed to be or is there a fix or work around we can apply that will fix this?
