We have an intermittent problem whereby the 'Options' link (the one that allows you to switch between Domains or to use Local Authentication) on the login screen disappears. Sometimes it is there and can be used correctly. Other times it just disappears.

 

We are using a mixture of browsers, but mainly IE 8 and Firefox 5.0. I've tried restarting the services on the server, but this does not help.

Sometimes what seems to work is to clear all cached data from the browser (history, cookies etc.), however, that appears to be ineffective now.
