Opmanager7.2: httpd statup failed on new RHEL5.2/CentOS 5.2

Opmanager7.2: httpd statup failed on new RHEL5.2/CentOS 5.2

Hello,

i have installed the latest OpManager from the website on one of our RedHat 5.2 and CenOs 5.2 vm's. The install went fine, however opmanage will not start:

Verifying connection with web server ...
Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager.

starting httpd manually gives the following errors:

/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libaprutil-0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libdb-3.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
./httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libapr-0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
./httpd: symbol lookup error: ./httpd: undefined symbol: apr_filename_of_pathname

All those libraries are present on my system but in newer versions, against better judgement i symlinked the libs on my system to the older ondes needed but at that time i received the undefined symbol entry error.

Could one please tell me what is done to resolve this? It is not as if RHEL5.2 uses bleeding edge libraries.

thanks a lot in advance.
stefan
