OPMANAGER SMS MODEM

I need help with my op manager6 i have installed it on a windows 2003 server and now i want to configure sms settings. and now the problem i succeded once to install a nokia 6210 with serial cable on com1 and the sms server worked just fine for a while. and then i restarted the server for some update issues and after that the sms server couldent find the phone 6210 anymore. so i reinstalled the phone several times without any luck, so now i have orded a Wavecom M1306B gsm modem but the company that makes the modem told me that its not a plug and play modem, so if i have to use it on a 2003 server i would have to install the modem as a standard modem 19200 and a speed at 115200 and my question is will it work? will op manager find that modem and use it as it should? will op manage find the modem on the com1? or do i have to use linux?
really need help....
