OpManager MSP central server running on Gentoo Linux 2006.1?

Can it be done? Has anyone tried this? Any gotcha's?

I'm installing gentoo in a vmware virtual machine at the moment so I can test this.

Kernel is 2.6.19-r5 x86 hardware, with P4 non SMP (only configured virtual machine to use 1 CPU)
