OpManager in DMZ

OpManager in DMZ

Hello All,

I seen the post below about OpManager in the DMZ and what is required. It is an older post from 10 years ago so figured maybe something has changed. The questions I have are the recommendations still the same as from 10 years ago when it comes to monitoring machines in the DMZ with  OpManager?

"1)ICMP ping should be enabled on the server. So OpManager can add the device and get the availability stats.

2)SNMP ports(UDP 161 and 162) should be opened on both sides of the firewall.

3)WMI ports should be accessible from OpManager. This might be bit tricky."

Secondly if I wanted to put the front end of OpManager in the DMZ and write to a database internally knowing the database is already used by OpManager internally would that case an issue? I really would like to have 2 OpManager servers collecting data one internal and one in the DMZ and putting it into the same internal database.

Thanks,
Scott
