Opmanager API

I've seen multiple threads in which the question is posited: "how can I update device notes in bulk?", and the answer I've seen involves importing a .csv file. Can the same thing be done via the Opmanager API? Assuming this is possible, I would appreciate a more detailed example for the url structure and format than the one provided in the following link (I'm using Opmanager Build 9200).

On the following page, http://www.manageengine.com/products/support-center/help/adminguide/api/api.html#rest, this is provided as an example: http://<servername>:<port number>/api/<output format>/<operation+module>?apikey=<apikey>&<params>. Let's say I want to perform something simple such as 'listDevices'. What would be the complete syntax for the request url?

I would also appreciate an example for a post operation. Let's say I wanted to update specific fields under device notes for a specific server. What would the complete syntax be for the request url?
