OpManager – issuing recursive alarms on 4 ISDN links on 2 routers.

OpManager – issuing recursive alarms on 4 ISDN links on 2 routers.

Hi – I just inherited an installation of OpManager.  There are 109 routers being monitored, and 2 of them are issuing recursive alarms on two of their ISDN interfaces. The alarms are:

Interface 'BRI0/1/0-Physical-BR0/1/0' is down.

These alarms occur regularly all day, every day about every 3-10 minutes.

But, When I drill down into the interface display using OpManager, the interfaces show 100% availability.

The routers have identical configurations:

Router 1 interfaces:

BRI0/0/0-BR0/0/0 – no issue

BRI0/0/1-BR0/0/1 – no issue

BRI0/1/0-BR0/1/0 – recursive alarms

BRI0/1/1-BR0/1/1 – recursive alarms

Router 2 interfaces:

BRI0/0/0-BR0/0/0 – no issue

BRI0/0/1-BR0/0/1 – no issue

BRI0/1/0-BR0/1/0 – recursive alarms

BRI0/1/1-BR0/1/1 – recursive alarms

We have dozens of other routers with the same configuration, and none of the are issuing recursive alarms, just these two routers.

We’ve called the telecom vendor many times and they always state that the lines are fine.

Please let me know what the next steps should be in troubleshooting this issue.   Thanks!
