Office 365 hybrid mode

Hi, we are currently migrating to Office 365 and we use AD Manager to create all of our accounts. We have got it working with O365 and can create mailboxes in the cloud, BUT, since we are in mixed mode we are not getting "Remote User Mailbox" contacts created for the user. I've tried using the mail enabled user on exchange settings but this doesn't create a remote user mailbox contact on our on-prem exchange.

Is this a feature or not at this time?

We could create exchange accounts and then migrate the account manually, this then creates a remote user mailbox contact, but we want one-step account creation.
