ODBC queries with MS Access and Excel

I am evaluating the ServiceDesk product and looking for the ability to link the database tables via MS Access in order to run joined reports with other SQL databases that support our operation. I am able to setup the ODBC connection, however all fields are displayed as #deleted. When linking to an excel sheet I am able to query the database, but all the date fields appear as non-date values.

It is critical for this database to link with MS access for our reporting needs. Are there any resolutions for this issue?
