notification not working "Acknowledge requester by e-mail when a new request is received."

Hi

"Acknowledge requester by e-mail when a new request is received." notification not working. I simply want the requester (user in my organisation), to receive acknowledgement email, when they log a request.

If the email a request to ithelpdesk@XXX.org.uk, they get an aknowledgment email, but not if they create a ticket, through the ManageEngine webpage.

Please help!
